The purpose of this position is to maintain all production equipment, the building, and the surrounding area. The job involves starting up and shutting down plant machinery each day, performing safe operation of the boiler and all boiler room equipment, and conducting water and boiler tests. The technician will respond to maintenance calls in a timely manner, inspect, diagnose, repair, and test machinery, and perform various maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating machinery components, clearing machine jams, and checking for leaks. Additionally, the role includes monitoring the PH system, logging parts used for reordering, customizing equipment for laundry processes, and maintaining and repairing trucks as needed. The technician will also collaborate with vendors for equipment repairs or installations and work with the safety department to identify and resolve safety hazards. Lockout/tagout and other safety procedures must be performed, and the chemical room must be maintained.
