About The Position

The Reimbursement Liaison Director's primary role is to facilitate the growth of Glaukos products by leading and coaching field-based reimbursement team members. This position focuses on ensuring patient access to Glaukos' sight-saving technologies through comprehensive coding, coverage, and payment education and support for healthcare providers. The director collaborates cross-functionally with various departments to create a unified approach to patient access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business, or Marketing required; Advanced Degree (MPH, MBA, MHA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of direct reimbursement/healthcare policy experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of previous field-based reimbursement team management experience.
  • Experience with launching and supporting drug/device combination products.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in US Payer/insurance coverage and marketplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous ophthalmology product/services experience in ASC/MD office.
  • Cross-functional team experience in drug/device combination departments.
  • Experience in a highly matrixed environment with compliance to corporate, regulatory, and legal guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of field-based Reimbursement Liaisons by establishing clear objectives and performance metrics.
  • Establish team SOPs, KPIs, and oversee a structured performance management framework.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities to enhance team performance in reimbursement practices.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate guidelines in all reimbursement activities.
  • Monitor and report customer engagement outcomes and reimbursement metrics.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching through ride-alongs and co-travel.
  • Proactively identify and report reimbursement trends, engaging the payer team when necessary.
  • Maintain expertise in regional and national payer landscapes, including clinical requirements and reimbursement policies.
