The Rehabilitative & Enterprise Division Deputy Chief assists the Division Chief in providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for the broad portfolio of offender focused services and institutional and community corrections support functions. The Deputy Chief is directly responsible for daily oversight and leadership of the Program Services Bureau, the Education Services Bureau, and the Community Corrections Facilities & Programs Bureau. These three Bureaus focus on advancing DOC’s rehabilitative mission through services provided to inmates and residents at all DOC-operated and community-contracted facilities. The position involves overseeing offender education and behavioral programming, case management, and community corrections engagement. Leadership and strategy responsibilities include providing vision for division bureaus and aligning goals with Public Safety and DOC objectives, while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Collaboration within the division, other DOC divisions, and stakeholders aims at conceptualizing and operating value-add programs. Additionally, the position supervises, fosters empowerment, and manages a team to achieve DOC’s mission.
