Rehabilitation Technician
About The Position
Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 59-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. The hospital offers customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury, striving to maximize health, function, and quality of life. The Rehabilitation Technician assists patients in achieving optimal goals by following patient care-related tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT. This role requires effective verbal and written communication with the rehabilitation team and visual acuity to perceive patient reactions to treatment and read instructions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months relevant experience strongly recommended in a rehab setting
- CPR certification (when required)
- Willing to participate in on-the-job training after initial orientation
Responsibilities
- Follows patient care-related tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to assist the patient in achieving optimal goals
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing to members of the rehabilitation team
- Other duties as assigned
