Rehabilitation Technician
About The Position
As a Rehab Tech, you will assist licensed therapists in providing therapeutic care and support to patients undergoing rehabilitation. Every day you will prepare treatment areas, help patients with exercises and mobility, manage equipment, and maintain a safe and organized clinical environment as delegated. To be successful, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting patient progress and therapist needs within the rehabilitation setting. Utilizes the AIDET principle to communicate with others, with a focus on patients and their families. Acknowledge Introduce Explain Duration Thank. Follows treatment plan as specified and supervised by licensed professional staff, including: Ambulates, transfers, and positions patients. Follows treatment plan as specified and supervised by licensed professional staff, including: Performs showers and baths. Follows treatment plan as specified and supervised by licensed professional staff, including: Assists patient with oral hygiene. Follows treatment plan as specified and supervised by licensed professional staff, including: Assists patient with bowel and bladder care.
Requirements
- Required Minimum of one-year acute care hospital or rehab setting patient care experience
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

- College course work in nursing, Physical, Speech or Occupational Therapy, upon hire
