About The Position

The Rehabilitation Specialist is a full-time behavioral health professional responsible for providing rehabilitation services to participants, focusing on competitive employment and psychosocial rehabilitative activities. This role emphasizes the development of a supportive work culture and the application of psychiatric rehabilitation best practices to help individuals achieve their recovery goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation, Social Services, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Two years of work experience in behavioral health, preferably providing vocational and/or rehabilitation services to adults diagnosed with serious mental illness.
  • Completion of training and demonstration of competence in Integrated Care skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and other required background checks.
  • Ability to meet driving requirements set forth by Copa Health's insurance company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a flexible caseload that includes employment-related rehabilitation and psychosocial rehabilitation activities.
  • Track detailed information on all employment-related engagement and caseload.
  • Utilize evidence-based employment practices to assess participants' needs and help them reach their desired outcomes.
  • Educate and assist participants in identifying resources needed to obtain and maintain employment.
  • Provide limited job coaching until services can be obtained from an employment provider agency.
  • Screen and assess participants for employment and psychosocial rehabilitation opportunities using available tools.
