Location: Located at our Healthplex location (3880 Guion Rd, Indy) 2-3 days a week and our Carmel location (14828 Greyhound Ct., Carmel) 2-3 days per week. Shift: This role is full-time - Hours must include availability from 12:30-6:30pm Monday and Wednesday and 8-4:30 Thursdays Roles and Responsibilities: This is a strong patient care support position so must be willing to assist as needed with our patients in our serial casting program (will learn to wrap and remove casts), and in our aquatics therapy program (in the pool assisting with patients). Other tasks can include cleaning, supply ordering, and maintaining space regulatory requirements. Performs designated routine patient care tasks under the direct supervision of the clinician(s). Assists the clinician to provide safe mobility and positioning of the patient as needed. Maintains and cleans treatment areas and equipment. Participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities as required. Participates in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs. Orders, distributes and maintains designated and appropriate inventory of department related supplies. May perform scheduling, customer service and some clerical duties. Rehabilitation Technicians can transport medications to/from the patient treatment room for patient treatment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within 6 months of hire. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires successful completion of the rehabilitation technician training program within 3 months of hire.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Rehab experience preferred.
  • Requires familiarity with patient lifting and handling procedures.
