About The Position

The Rehabilitation Services Coordinator shall be responsible to administer assigned treatments, initial evaluations and/or progress notes, and discharge summaries for inpatient and outpatient clients. This individual will ensure all treatments are performed as ordered or communicate and document as to why treatment was not performed. Additionally, this individual will coordinate services and staffing for all licensed personnel and rehab aides. The Coordinator will assist with performance evaluations and competencies and will ensure all are completed on time. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistant required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure required
  • BLS required
  • Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
  • Ability to provide positive customer service experience to guests, visitors, and patients.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with patients, guests, and hospital personnel.
  • The ability to show compassion and sensitivity for patient comfort.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
