Provides secretarial and medical transcription assistance for the Home Health and inpatient and outpatient departments. Deals daily with confidential and sensitive information. Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust). WORKING CONDITIONS, HAZARDS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: Works in clean, well-lit, ventilated and air conditioned office area, but visits to numerous hospital departments when necessary. Due to patient contact, the exposure to virus or contagious disease is possible but not highly probable. Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights, and sounds. Long periods in a stationary position. Exposure to a high degree of interruption and stressful situations, time restraints and deadlines. Works a standard work week, but occasional overtime will be necessary. Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently. CONTACTS WITH OTHERS: Visitors (patients), healthcare providers, administrative Associates, hospital support Associates, and insurance companies.
