Requirements

  • Conduct psychological and cognitive assessments across inpatient rehabilitation, medical/surgical, and outpatient settings for individuals with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, burns, encephalopathy, cancer, and other complex conditions.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based practices and Person-Centered Therapy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams by presenting assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress updates in medical meetings.
  • Contribute to program development and deliver staff in-service education.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and provide medical consultation.
  • Administer, score, and interpret psychological and neuropsychological assessments, producing integrated clinical reports.
  • Must have a Psychologist License from the State of California Board of Psychology.
  • Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology, or closely related.
  • 12 months in job offered, NeuroRehabilitation Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow, Doctoral Level Psychology Intern, or closely related.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care with professionalism, compassion, and efficiency.
  • Provide in-service education as needed, identify staff development needs, and offer ongoing mentorship and guidance.
  • Assist rehabilitation management with the development and maintenance of brain injury programs and participate in program initiatives.
  • Deliver psychological interventions, including individual and family counseling, psychoeducation, and emotional and behavioral support.
  • Develop strategies to address patients’ emotional and behavioral concerns.
  • Participate in program development, identify staff development needs, and provide in-service education.
