NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will administer physical therapy treatments to patients, working under the direction of and as an assistant to the Physical Therapists. You will assure all program participants receive scheduled PT treatments and document therapy sessions or reasons for inability to attend. Your role will include performing active, passive, and/or resistive therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, general mobilization, and instructing program participants in learning and improving functional activities. You will also provide gait training and assist program participants in the use of mobility aids, measure vital signs, and confer with staff members to evaluate program participant information.

  • Administer physical therapy treatments to patients under the direction of Physical Therapists.
  • Ensure all program participants receive scheduled PT treatments and document therapy sessions.
  • Perform active, passive, and/or resistive therapeutic exercises.
  • Perform therapeutic massage on program participants as needed.
  • Conduct general mobilization and/or passive stretching within safety limits.
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist program participants in functional activities.
  • Provide gait training and instruct on the use of mobility aids.
  • Measure ROM, length and girth of body parts, vital signs, and MMT.
  • Confer with staff and healthcare members to evaluate program participant information.
  • Ensure adherence to accreditation and licensure standards.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a human services or related field.
  • Current PTA license in the state of work.
  • Good working knowledge of physical therapy equipment and therapeutic exercise treatments.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.
  • Reliable, responsible, and caring nature.
