Rehabilitation or Therapy Aide
About The Position
This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position for a Rehabilitation or Therapy Aide to join an in-house therapy team. The role involves working with geriatric residents, focusing on their rehabilitation and maintenance. The pay rate ranges from $13.50 to $21.50 per hour, depending on certification and experience. Key responsibilities include transporting residents to and from therapy, assisting nursing staff, and leading individual or group maintenance programs designed by therapists. The company offers support for individuals who are not yet state-tested nurse aides to achieve certification.
Requirements
- Genuine interest in the rehabilitation and maintenance of the geriatric resident
- Certified Nursing Assistant or graduate of a PT, OT, COTA or PTA accredited program who has yet to receive state licensure
- Ability to function in a team environment
- Ability to use computer efficiently
Nice To Haves
- Ability to communicate in writing and record resident responses to treatment preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in therapy department as Rehabilitation Aide when required
- Transport residents to/from therapy department for treatment
- Aide in certain portions of delivery of therapy as allowed by state and federal guidelines
- Follow through with individual and/or group maintenance programs initiated by specialized therapies ordered by a physician
- Maintain individual records of maintenance activities for each resident as required
- Record resident daily activities and file as required
- Act as a resource for CNAs in maintenance program techniques
- Assist and feed residents in dining room with meals as appropriate
- Lead individual/group maintenance programs designed by therapists
- Assist nursing
