About The Position

Requirements

• A baccalaureate degree plus one year of professional level experience in relevant fields such as social services, counseling, or rehabilitation.
• A baccalaureate degree in specific fields such as rehabilitation counseling or psychology can substitute for the required experience.
• A master's degree in any field can substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform rehabilitation casework at a beginning professional level with supervisory review.
• Assess functional limitations and vocational potential of eligible rehabilitation consumers.
• Counsel consumers and their families regarding physical restoration and social/psychological adjustments.
• Provide counseling, guidance, training, and placement services to achieve individualized rehabilitation goals.
• Conduct less complex psychosocial evaluations with supervisory review.
• Develop knowledge of medical aspects of disabilities and their implications.
• Assist in conducting workshops and provide individual counseling to improve interpersonal skills.
• Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to achieve rehabilitation plans.
• Maintain documentation of casework activities and ensure confidentiality.
• Supervise paraprofessional staff in caseload support duties.
