About The Position

The Rehabilitation Counselor 2 position at the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations related to developmental disabilities services. Requirements

• Familiarity with HCBS waiver service programs and documentation.
• Knowledge of OPWDD Administrative Memorandums (ADM's) and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site reviews of IRA, Day Habilitation, and Family Care programs to monitor compliance with regulations.
• Evaluate person-centered service plans and progress toward goals.
• Conduct observations and interviews at various settings to assess service appropriateness.
• Review records to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
• Document findings and recommendations for treatment teams.
• Complete incident reporting and assist with incident management.
• Gather statistics and information for management program reports.
• Provide technical assistance or training on regulatory compliance and quality improvement.
• Coordinate person-centered service plans and monitor progress.
