About The Position

This role oversees patient flow from initial point of entry to final destination, ensuring all services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and professionally. The position requires a high degree of multitasking and responsibility for accurate patient account resolution, including demographic and financial data entry, insurance processes, and communication with patients and payers. This position performs work of higher complexity compared to the Associate–Rehabilitation Clinical Support role and is held to elevated productivity and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience in Rehabilitation Services or similar duties (e.g., patient registration, insurance, scheduling)
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
  • Requires high-level interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
  • Requires strong initiative with the ability to meet objectives and departmental expectations
  • Requires Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires excellent working knowledge of Associate–Clinical Support job duties

Responsibilities

  • Register patients and create accurate demographic and financial records
  • Schedule recurring patient appointments
  • Perform insurance verification, prior authorization, and coordination of benefits
  • Communicate with payers and patients to ensure complete and accurate financial information
  • Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately
  • Participate in departmental operations and performance improvement initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, regulatory, and equipment training requirements
  • Order, distribute, and maintain appropriate inventory of departmental supplies
  • Assist with timely and accurate resolution of patient accounts
  • Support smooth patient flow and high-quality patient experiences
