As a Rehabilitation Clerk , you play an essential role in supporting our Therapy Department and ensuring smooth, organized, and compassionate care for our residents. We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and service-minded individual who enjoys administrative work, teamwork, and meaningful interaction in a healthcare environment. Rehabilitation Clerk – Position Overview: The Rehabilitation Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Therapy Department while assisting with resident coordination and department organization. This role is vital to maintaining accurate documentation, supporting therapists and leadership, and ensuring a clean, efficient therapy environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Geniune interest in working with elderly population
  • Proficiency with computer usage and programs
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare industry and/or customer service preferred

Responsibilities

  • Scan and upload Daily Interaction Forms and Mobile Audit Logs
  • Track and update insurance authorizations
  • Assist the Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) and Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR) with therapist documentation follow-ups
  • Maintain records for therapy-related equipment (wheelchairs, assistive devices, adaptive equipment, etc.)
  • Place calls to family members regarding therapy evaluations and discharge planning
  • Support insurance requests and authorizations
  • Assist with resident transport or wheelchair follows during ambulation training, as assigned
  • Clean, organize, and maintain therapy gym areas
  • Order equipment for subacute patients with required authorization
  • Track documentation to ensure physician signature requirements are met; print documents for physical signatures when electronic signatures are unavailable
