About The Position

Rehabilitation Casework Technician Location: Charlotte Unit Office – Mecklenburg County The Rehabilitation Casework Technician provides essential casework and service delivery support to Rehabilitation Counselors and Human Services Coordinators who assist students and young adults with disabilities as they prepare for, enter, and maintain employment. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth service coordination and positive outcomes for consumers in Mecklenburg County. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct intake interviews and gather diagnostic information to help counselors determine eligibility and develop Individualized Plans for Employment (IPEs). - Document casework activities, maintain service records, and ensure accurate, timely data entry throughout the rehabilitation process. - Provide follow-up and coordinate communication with consumers, employers, schools, vendors, and other agency staff. - Support counselors by preparing authorizations, correspondence, and other administrative documents as needed. - Assist in employment marketing and job readiness workshops for consumers. - Engage local employers using a dual-customer approach to promote hiring and retention of qualified individuals with disabilities. - Participate in caseload management and provide additional support assignments as directed by the Unit Manager, based on unit needs. Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proven ability to deliver responsive, courteous, and effective customer service while interacting with consumers, colleagues, and members of the public in a professional environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to changing demands, and maintain quality and consistency in work.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to ensure effective information exchange and service coordination.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within assigned service areas as required.
  • Position is funded in part through federal funds.
  • Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours
