Rehabilitation Casework Technician Location: Charlotte Unit Office – Mecklenburg County The Rehabilitation Casework Technician provides essential casework and service delivery support to Rehabilitation Counselors and Human Services Coordinators who assist students and young adults with disabilities as they prepare for, enter, and maintain employment. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth service coordination and positive outcomes for consumers in Mecklenburg County. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct intake interviews and gather diagnostic information to help counselors determine eligibility and develop Individualized Plans for Employment (IPEs). - Document casework activities, maintain service records, and ensure accurate, timely data entry throughout the rehabilitation process. - Provide follow-up and coordinate communication with consumers, employers, schools, vendors, and other agency staff. - Support counselors by preparing authorizations, correspondence, and other administrative documents as needed. - Assist in employment marketing and job readiness workshops for consumers. - Engage local employers using a dual-customer approach to promote hiring and retention of qualified individuals with disabilities. - Participate in caseload management and provide additional support assignments as directed by the Unit Manager, based on unit needs.
