Rehabilitation Aide - Per Diem - Weekday/Weekend Coverage - Cornell Campus

As a Rehabilitation Aide, take part in the continuum of care in all our various settings from outpatient rehab, inpatient rehabilitation, and acute care, including the ICU. This position will be focused primarily in the outpatient rehabilitation department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrated interest in working with Rehabilitation Medicine patients
- Knowledge of policies and procedures of Rehabilitation Medicine Department
- Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Responsibilities
- Participation in our outpatient chaperone program
- Maintaining therapy areas
- Obtaining rehabilitation equipment
- Restocking medical linen and supplies
- Transporting patients
- Providing direct patient care under the supervision of Physical and Occupational Therapists as you assist with the mobility of patients of all ages and diagnoses
