About The Position

Organization: ABSMC-Summit Campus Position Overview: Provides supportive services in the Rehabilitation Therapy department serving the acute rehabilitation program at ABSMC, Summit campus, including, but not limited to: Under the direction and immediate supervision of licensed therapists, performs patient related tasks; performs equipment and area maintenance and cleaning, and completes administrative duties as therapists may request. The aide takes instructions from, and is under 100% supervision of, licensed therapists in the rehabilitation services department. Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- Ability to effectively communicate and represent the department to people in a courteous, tactful, and poised manner.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with and present information to patients, families and co-workers.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Nice To Haves
- Three to six-months related experience and/or training preferred.
- Experience in a health care environment preferred.
