About The Position

The Rehab Technician performs a variety of direct patient care activities for a designated nursing unit. This role involves assisting medical and nursing staff with procedures and/or tests, helping patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's), obtaining non-invasive body fluid specimens, and may include drawing blood for glucose monitoring.

Requirements

• Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with computer data entry and generates reports as requested.
• Requires effective communication skills for working with patients, families, caregivers, and departmental and interdepartmental relationships.
• Assist with setting patients up for therapy.
• Assist the Medical Director with tasks as needed.
• Assist the Business Office Manager with tasks as needed.
