About The Position

As a Rehab Therapy Coordinator, you will assist licensed therapists in providing therapeutic care and support to patients undergoing rehabilitation. Every day you will prepare treatment areas, help patients with exercises and mobility, manage equipment, and maintain a safe and organized clinical environment as delegated. To be successful, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting patient progress and therapist needs within the rehabilitation setting. Participates in customer satisfaction enhancement to ensure the departmental and organizational goals are met. Organizes, participates and reports on quality initiatives and establishes action plans to enhance the effectiveness of short term and long term outcomes. Coordinates and maintains specialty accreditations, (e.g. CARF, JC, ACPCA) by developing standardization across the continuum and ensuring best practices are utilized. Coordinates with other departments and providers to improve efficiency by reducing unit costs, assist with staffing, improve response times and procedures specific to a diagnostic group. Organize and grow number of referral sources through participation in marketing and networking activities. Presence and leadership on internal and external boards, task forces and committees.

Requirements

  • Entry level degree as required by the professional discipline., upon hire
  • 5 years progressive experience in clinical area
  • Physical Therapist: AZ, upon hire or
  • Occupational Therapist: AZ, upon hire or
  • Speech Language Pathologist: AZ, upon hire
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with business operations management and customer service, and participation on healthcare committees
  • Prior experience in data analysis and reporting, program development and meets the qualifications of Therapist Specialty or beyond
