About The Position

The Rehab Therapy Aide contributes to the provision of therapeutic treatments, by directly assisting with treatment, maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies, equipment and materials, maintaining clean and safe treatment areas, providing clerical and other related support services as necessary at the care sites. Addendum: Safety and a well-paced mobility plan help to restore the patient's functional abilities and enables them to get home. This position’s primary designation is a mobility aide on either general medicine or medical/surgical floor. Goal is to engage on a daily basis with direct nursing staff to determine who is appropriate for mobility each day, document the mobility, and communicate with nursing the outcomes when necessary. This position requires demonstrating competence with established mobility techniques for both independent and interdisciplinary use. This is a bargaining union position. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • demonstrating competence with established mobility techniques for both independent and interdisciplinary use
