Rehab Tech - 11-7 Shift - PRN Weekend Only - Brain Injury Unit (2482)
About The Position
Responsible for assisting the licensed nurses in the performance of delegated nursing procedures and functional rehabilitation tasks for which the assistant has been trained at either a basic or advanced level to meet rehabilitation patient’s needs. PRN Requirements: At least 1 year of hospital experience Weekend-Only PRN: Must work 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks (8-hour shifts, totaling 32 hours) Weekend hours are defined as Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 holiday shifts per year, including at least 1 major holiday (Christmas, Thanksgiving, or New Year’s)
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent required
- CNA, Nursing Assistant or Therapy Tech training and/or satisfactory previous experience required
- Satisfactory completion of MRC rehabilitation orientation and advanced training programs for rehab tech/nursing assistant required once the employee has been hired
- At least 1 year on direct, hands-on patient care
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that patients arrive to Therapies on time
- Assist with ADL's which include toileting, bathing, eating, etc.
- Assess and record vitals
- Assist with transporting patients to and from Therapies
- Other duties as assigned
