The position is a Per Diem role scheduled as needed from Monday to Friday. The main function involves providing customer service, ensuring customer reception, insurance verification and referrals, order entry, procedure coordination, and scheduling. The role also includes maintaining medical records, chart filling, and electronic/computerized documentation. The individual will coordinate schedules with other departments to meet customer needs and expectations, playing a vital role in the success of the Rehab Departments by maintaining efficient schedules for the Rehab Clinical teams. Timely telephone responses in all patient scheduling areas of Rehab utilizing the Paragon Resource Scheduling application are essential. The position requires obtaining a hard copy physician order prior to testing, verifying accuracy and compliance of requests, and ensuring patient demographic information is validated before services are provided. The individual will work closely with Patient Financial Services to assure compliance and maximum reimbursement, and will assist in performing diverse tasks required to maintain an efficient and organized office.
