The position is a Per Diem role scheduled as needed, Monday through Friday. The main function is to provide customer service by ensuring customer reception, insurance verification and referrals, order entry, procedure coordination, and scheduling. The role involves maintaining medical records, chart filling, and electronic/computerized documentation. The individual will coordinate schedules with other departments to meet the needs and expectations of the customer, playing a vital role in the success of the Rehab Departments by maintaining efficient schedules for the Rehab Clinical teams. Timely telephone responses in all patient scheduling areas of Rehab utilizing the Paragon Resource Scheduling application are essential. The position requires obtaining a hard copy physician order prior to testing, verifying the accuracy and compliance of requests, and ensuring that orders are scanned into the Horizon Patient Folder via ILE while maintaining the original script in the paper medical record. Patient demographic information must be validated before services are provided, including insurance verification, ordering MD, referral/authorization requirements, and patient/guarantor addresses. The role involves close collaboration with Patient Financial Services to ensure compliance and maximize reimbursement, as well as assisting in and performing diverse tasks required to maintain an efficient and organized office.
