About The Position

The Rehabilitation Nursing Technician Short Term Assignment assists rehabilitation nurses with rehabilitation treatment and patient care according to hospital, state, professional and federal regulations and guidelines. In addition, the position requires effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers. The technician must demonstrate competency in assisting with delegated rehabilitation treatment and patient care, performing tasks as delegated by and supervised by rehabilitation nurses. The role also involves maintaining open and ongoing communication with coworkers and supervisors. The Rehabilitation Nursing Technician supports an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission by helping to provide patient safety and patient-centered treatment. This is a temporary position.

Requirements

• CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds.
• Proficiency in using general office equipment such as computer/laptop, telephone, copy/fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation treatment protocols.
