About The Position

The Rehab Liaison Manager is responsible for managing all liaison activities for Intermountain Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) programs. The incumbent ensures consistency and sustainability of liaison activities to facilitate response to referrals, patient evaluations, payer pre-authorizations, unit marketing and other activities for Intermountain facilities and community referral sources. Manages a team of liaison professionals. The incumbent maintains an understanding of current market trends, regulation, and analyzes referral patterns to maximize the opportunity to grow the IRF programs. Essential Functions Manages liaison activities and schedules to ensure 7/day per week coverage Understands and can assist in liaison duties as needed Implements in person and/or remote coverage to support admissions for all IRF programs Provides system level representation for inpatient rehabilitation access with internal and external stakeholders Maintains current knowledge of regulatory requirements for admission to an inpatient rehabilitation program Provides interface with insurance companies, care managers and referral sources to support admission of appropriate patients to the IRF Designs and carries out marketing and outreach activities for IRF units Travel (quarterly, and in some cases more often) required to other facilities and hospitals Oversee various admission programs such as Select Health partnership, No-Delay Admissions, and any other contracting partnerships
