About The Position

A REHAB DIRECTOR (Physical Therapist / PT) position is now available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Poughkeepsie, NY. The Pines at Poughkeepsie has a dynamic therapy team! We also have a strong interdisciplinary team with all hands on deck approach. We have a good mix of experienced therapists and young/new therapists. We have diverse clinical programs running in the department. We have on site physiatrist that rehab rounds. We also have a rehab suite committed to functional activities that mimic a home setting utilized for our therapists and patients to simulate a home environment. Requirements

• Be a licensed physical therapist or license eligible in the state where employed
• Have experience as a treating therapist in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting
• Must have SNF experience.

Nice To Haves

• The ideal candidate will have experience managing a SNF rehabilitation department

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and effective operations
• Plan and implement rehabilitation programs and procedures to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor patient admissions, schedules, MDS assessment periods and data
• Provide administrative rehabilitation supervision
• Serve as a rehabilitation staff mentor
• Provide occupational therapy services as needed.
