This Rehab Clerical Aide position at Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center - Outpatient Rehabilitation in New Berlin is a part-time role, 20 hours per week, with clinic hours from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, specifically requiring work on Fridays from 7:45 am-4:30 pm. The role is crucial for supporting the efficiency of Licensed Therapy Providers and ensuring the smooth operation of the rehabilitation department. Responsibilities include direct patient contact activities under supervision, such as patient positioning, transfers, application of therapeutic modalities, and assisting with exercises and gait training. The aide will also improve therapist efficiency by initiating patient treatments and employing problem-solving strategies. Key administrative duties involve patient registration, scheduling, cashiering, admitting, and follow-up, as well as coordinating appointments with other departments or physician offices. The role encompasses general reception and clerical tasks like answering phones, managing messages, greeting patients, billing, faxing, photocopying, assembling medical records, and handling mail. Additionally, the aide reviews therapy orders in the electronic medical records system, maintains department files, processes billing/reimbursement forms, completes insurance verifications and authorizations, and tracks reauthorizations. The position also involves monitoring the therapy environment for patient experience standards, ordering and organizing therapy equipment and supplies, managing linens, troubleshooting minor office equipment issues, and performing cleaning and disinfection of gym/treatment areas and equipment.
