About The Position

The Rehab Aide performs a variety of non-clinical support tasks to enhance the efficiency of rehabilitation services. This includes equipment management, patient transport, and coordination with therapy staff. The Rehab Aide also assists in monitoring timely filing and completion of rehabilitation documentation as directed by the supervisor. Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up for physical, occupational, and speech therapy treatments, ensuring consideration of patient-specific treatment goals and precautions.
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
  • Communicate routinely with the supervisor and healthcare personnel as directed by therapists.
  • Collaborate with therapists to determine the scheduling needs of residents.
  • Transport, transfer, and prepare patients and equipment as directed by therapists.
  • Accurately complete and submit logs and other documentation as directed by the supervisor.
  • Direct clinical questions to the supervising therapist and report any unusual occurrences in a timely manner.
  • Participate in denials management activities to ensure that claims and appeals are processed according to company procedures.
  • Monitor and order office and clinical supplies as needed.
  • Use sound judgment and concern for the safety of patients, self, and others.
  • Attend team meetings and rehabilitation training programs as required by the supervisor.
  • Participate in and conduct in-services, exercise programs, and other community-related initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information as well as company information.
  • Adhere to the company dress code policy for assigned facilities and work environments.
  • Relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients, residents, families, staff, and professional colleagues.
