About The Position
Capitol View Transitional Care Center is a state-of-the-art true transitional care unit (TCU) located in Regions Hospital, part of the HealthPartners organization as a separate nonprofit organization. They provide quality care to patients from 18+ years of age who are in need of a short-term stay, with an average length of stay of 17 days. The role of a Rehab Aide is described as rewarding and fun in a TCU environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or TCU environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Transporting patients scheduled for PT, OT, and ST to and from treatments areas
- Assist with patient related physical, occupational, and speech therapy duties and tasks under the on-site supervision of the therapist following therapy association guideline
- Follow safety standards while preforming patient related duties i.e. good body mechanics, transfer belt, correct transfer procedures, and comply with patient precautions
- Notifies therapist of any resident related problems
- Assist professional staff as requested
- Preforms assigned clerical duties: filing, copying, mailing, scheduling, equipment ordering, and timely preparation of charts and assist with maintenance of department records
- prepares, maintains, and cleans department/treatment areas
- Assist with leisure activities with patients
