About The Position

Rehab Aide Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehab Aide to join our rehabilitation team. The Rehab Aide will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to assist with high-quality therapeutic care, ensuring progress and facilitating recovery based on physician treatment plans. Requirements

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical procedures and policy manuals.
  • Strong communication skills to present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and families.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Assist in treating patients as directed by the Physical Therapist, following established treatment plans.
  • Documentation: Support the recording of daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in compliance with PT Board regulations.
  • Department Maintenance: Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the treatment area and report any problems with equipment for timely maintenance.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, concerns, and treatment plans.
  • Training and Education: Assist the nursing department in training Restorative Aides and instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training for discharge.
  • Involvement in Conferences: Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed.
  • Staff Development: Contribute to in-service training programs for other staff within the facility.
  • Policy Compliance: Aid in recording any treatment changes per facility policies and procedures.
