About The Position

Regulatory Specialist - Westlake, OH This position may undertake duties related to some or all of the following and/or other tasks that relate to the overall objectives of the Regulatory Department. Immediate job functions: Administrative data entry, input of data into enterprise software system (new item setup information, coding of products for sales in certain states) Document preparation, filing, organization (to include Safety Data Sheets and other regulatory documents) Proof-reading and editing of text-based product labels, filing and organization of labels Communication with third party agencies, contractors, vendors, and other internal personnel to help facilitate business initiatives and drive positive outcomes Long-term additional functions for role: Direct oversight of certain states for product registrations, location licenses, filing of renewals and reports relating to each specific state Monitor manufacturer and vendor compliance concerns Research and prepare documents relating to state, federal, and international regulatory compliance concerns

Requirements

  • High School or secondary diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of state laws and ability to interpret state guidelines
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks
  • Skill in planning and organizing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as a team

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in an Agricultural/Plant Sciences discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in proof-reading and/or editing product labels
  • Internal or external industry specific experience in relevant discipline (1 - 3 years)
