The Quality Assurance Unit is responsible for enhancing the integrity of the regulatory reporting processes and reporting issues stem from data quality as well as the overall control environment through performing periodic and on-going assessments of the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of regulatory reports submitted to the U.S. regulators. The Unit also partners with stakeholders across multiple functions to identify improvement opportunities, implement process, and control enhancements for the regulatory reporting activities to keep abreast of the industry standards. This position is primarily responsible for execution of Mizuho's Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance Program and providing additional line of defense for Mizuho Americas regulatory reporting. The position will assist the planning and execution of periodic reviews of regulatory reports to ensure that reports are prepared in accordance with regulatory reporting instructions and guidance, regulators' expectations, and industry best practices. The position requires wide breadth of expertise in various regulatory reporting, especially for broker dealer regulatory reports, as well as experience in managing projects and staff members.
