About The Position

The Regulatory Manager is responsible for managing all regulatory activities within their assigned area Texas and align with the organization’s goals. Experience in working in oil and gas operations is required and expertise in produced water midstream is preferred. This position is located in Houston, Texas, and reports to the Sr Director of Regulatory Compliance. Pilot Water Solutions (“PWS”) is the most reliable name in water midstream. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the required expertise or comparable relevant experience.
  • 7 years of relevant oil & gas experience.
  • Familiarity with RRC is required.
  • Strong professional communication skills and adaptable to various work styles
  • Microsoft Suite Proficiency
  • Able to work in a fast – paced environment.
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong critical and analytic skills
  • Self-Motivated & eager to affect change
  • Able to travel as needed; Travel is limited.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, track, and manage regulatory and compliance filings including W-1, W-2, W-3 (a, c, x) P-4, and P-5’s, H-1/H-1A, and W-14.
  • Assist with managing 3rd party vendor submitted permits.
  • Assist with customer saltwater disposal audits (e.g., W-14, H1-H1A).
  • Assist with H-11 commercial fluid recycling facility district notifications with the help of external environmental firms.
  • Assist with special permits coordinated through outside consulting firms.
  • Manage outside consultants and vendors for reporting and filing projects.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the Railroad Commission of Texas.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the company’s teams, including engineering, land, operations, and geology to collect pertinent data.
  • Organize, maintain, and track permits and monitoring plans associated with saltwater storage and disposal, produced water recycling, and saltwater haulers.
  • Review, summarize, and provide internal guidance regarding permit conditions of approval.
  • Provide support and assistance to management and operations teams regarding required permitting actions, project status, and potential challenges.
  • Coordinate with other departments to collect and analyze information and data for regulatory reports.
  • Keep abreast of relevant local, state, and federal rules and regulations and agency policies.
  • Participate in trade associations and industry meetings.
  • Adheres and leads by example on Company policies, guidelines and procedures.
