REGULATORY CONSULTANT FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES DIVISION OF AGRICULTURAL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES INTERNAL AGENCY OPPORTUNITY--ONLY CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OFAGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES WILL BE CONSIDERED. CONTACT: Hailey Peters, 850-617-7849 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional or nonprofessional experience in administrative work, regulatory work, consumer complaint program work, interviewing, business administration, customer or public relations or investigations.   Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.  An equivalent combination of education and experience which equals six (6) years can substitute for the above requirements. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Review applications to determine eligibility for licensure, certification, or registration.
• Evaluate applications for completeness and compliance with applicable requirements for all licenses issued under Chapter 388, 482, and 487 F.S., and Rule 5E-9, 5E-13, and 5E-14, F.A.C.
• Verify fee payments.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with Finance & Accounting regarding refunds, payment issues, and any other related discrepancies.
• Perform these activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Update, transmit, retrieve, and change information to records in applicable databases.
• Process and update all insurance documents received for the section.
• Communicate in writing or verbally with customers to ensure documents are correct and complete for processing.
• Generate any necessary deficiency letters and distribute accordingly.
• Review and process documents received as a result of a deficiency letter response in a timely manner.
• Provide documentation when an application has been denied and not addressed within the time frames prescribed by law and provide notice of rights with the denial letter.
• Perform these activities in accordance with established policies and procedures and with designated databases.
• Answer inquiries from public and applicants regarding certification, licensure, and registrations.
• Follow up on actions necessary in response to enforcement cases.
• Compile data for quarterly reports and any other reports as requested and send to Supervisor for submission of final report.
• The position is required to assist co-workers and other sections within the division and perform other related work and tasks as requested by division management.
