Regulatory professional works in a team environment to support regulatory activities associated with state-regulated utility filings with public utility commissions. These regulatory activities primarily consist of working directly with an assigned witness to execute regulatory strategy, perform analyses, draft testimony, draft rebuttal testimony, coordinate discovery requests, and support the witness in preparation for rate case hearings. In addition, the position supports the coordination, preparation and submittal of annual compliance filings as required by state codes or commission orders. The position requires a highly motivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving and research skills, data analysis, and a desire to learn and grow your knowledge of electric utility regulation in an exciting and dynamic industry with a focus on Distribution. The position will work closely with experienced personnel to develop analytical skills and understanding of electric utility regulatory matters. The Regulatory organization is a highly visible and unique area of the business and will expose you to an incredibly diverse set of challenges and allow you to build your professional network across the breadth of AEP. This role will also allow the candidate to be a part of the change that helps AEP better serve its customers.
