About your role: The Compliance Manager is responsible for managing compliance risk and executing the regulatory compliance goals for a prepaid debit portfolio. This role will plan and execute monitoring and testing activities, conduct compliance risk assessments, assess new state and federal regulations for applicability and impact, and act as a trusted subject matter expert to the business.

Requirements

  • 3 years+ of compliance experience in a fintech or financial institution.
  • Knowledge of consumer protection regulations.
  • Experience in compliance monitoring and testing, risk assessments, regulatory change management, training and issue management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and teamwork skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
  • Experience using approved desktop AI tools.
  • Advanced proficiency Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's Degree

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager certification (CRCM) or legal experience
  • Prior legal experience or paralegal experience supporting regulatory matters.
  • Experience supporting payroll card or prepaid product regulatory filings and state-level registrations.
  • Experience working with enterprise GRC implementations and control remediation projects.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management with product, operations, and legal/compliance partners.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with consumer protection regulations including EFTA/Regulation E, GLBA/Regulation P, E-Sign, TCPA, Identity Theft Red Flags, and state payroll card laws.
  • Execute compliance monitoring and testing programs.
  • Oversee consumer complaint handling and resolution processes.
  • Support senior management in developing and implementing compliance policies and frameworks
  • Track regulatory changes and work with business stakeholders to understand potential impact on products, services and procedures.
  • Provide compliance guidance and training to internal stakeholders.
  • Work within a team and across functional areas to drive optimal compliance outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on compliance obligations and best practices.
