About The Position

Do you want to leverage your electric industry knowledge and project management skills? LCRA is looking for a proactive Regulatory Case Manager Lead to bolster our advocacy work for our transmission business. This expert-level role entails overseeing Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) amendment proceedings and contested cases at the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC). You will lead efforts to obtain certification for new transmission projects on behalf of LCRA Transmission Services Corporation (LCRA TSC), prepare briefing materials for internal collaborators, and assist with PUC filings. Step into this exciting role to help LCRA meet the growing demand for electricity in Texas! You will be trusted to: - Manage routing studies, environmental assessments, and public involvement processes for new electric transmission line projects. - Prepare, coordinate, and sponsor testimony in proceedings before the PUC. - Communicate with affected landowners, community leaders, and other external stakeholders. - Provide expert witness testimony regarding company routing processes, compliance with PUC rules and routing criteria, and related technical issues in contested cases that are held before an administrative law judge. - Act as a primary contact for key regulatory agency staff at the PUC and ERCOT. Build relationships across the electric utility industry. - Maintain detailed knowledge of applicable regulations, rules, and procedures. Perform work by traveling independently or with a small team to various LCRA and external locations as necessary.

Requirements

  • Twelve or more years of experience working with utility regulatory processes in fields such as regulatory affairs, finance, information technology/security, project management or law or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in business, economics, science, finance, accounting, public policy, law, mathematics or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Driver's license
