About The Position

We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager for the North America region, with a big passion for regulatory and chocolate & Biscuits. We offer you the opportunity to join our team and contribute to our mission to bring ‘Happiness with every bite'. This is a very exciting opportunity to ensure the regulatory compliance of all pladis products sold within Americas. Your goal will be to provide sound regulatory information and advice to support product launches and re-designs in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring the compliance of the products with local regulations and internal policies. You will be reporting to the Global Regulatory Affairs Director.

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or other food science-based degree.
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs departments.
  • Knowledge/understanding of FDA Food Legislation, guidelines and codes of practice.
  • Knowledge of ingredients, process methods and factories producing biscuits and chocolate.
  • Excellent attention to detail and on-time delivery of tasks.
  • Good communication and influencing skills, proactive demeanor.
  • Proven project management and implementation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • High level of digital literacy & proficiency in using web-based specification systems.
  • Strong numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage region Regulatory Affairs people and resources.
  • Assess and plan for current and future needs, estimate risks over a longer-time horizon and manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate upcoming laws and regulations to identify potential threats or opportunities.
  • Communicate regulatory emerging issues internally to regional teams and cross-functional partners, and present proposed solutions / mitigation plans.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of pladis products in Americas regarding ingredients, product formulation and claims, in line with regulations and pladis policies.
  • Collaborate across the organization to enable the innovation pipeline; provide regulatory input in all stages of the innovation process to ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of our ingredients and packaging materials.
  • Work closely with R&D from different sourcing locations to check for compliance to North America regulations.
  • Represent the Regulatory Affairs team in project team meetings with a specific remit to advise on compliance regulatory implications.
  • Keep abreast of existing regulations and possible new local regulations that could impact the Company business.
  • Build strategic relationships with a diverse group of external stakeholders, such as regulators, academics and industry associations.
