Position Summary NOTE: This position may be located in Greenville or Columbia, South Carolina. The selected candidate will be expected to travel anywhere from 15% of his or her time per month to various locations within said state/jurisdiction, including but not limited to the Public Service Commission of South Carolina or the Office of Regulatory Staff as well as meetings at Duke's corporate/regional/state headquarters or numerous operations locations within the Carolinas. This position serves as support to the implementation of the South Carolina Energy Security Act, including identifying and applying implications of the Act to regulatory efforts, planning for longer-term opportunities and challenges, communicating a cohesive and cross functional interpretation of the key provisions for Duke Energy, and operationalizing consistent policy implementation for future regulatory, financial and operational efforts within scope of the Act. The position will support cross functional efforts for Act-related matters that include, but are not limited to, energy efficiency, rate setting, reporting, resource planning, and development of communications and deliverables for the South Carolina President’s organization. This position is also expected to be able to support meetings with, and inquiries from, the Office of Regulatory Staff, as well as site visits, hearings and stakeholder meetings for Act related matters. The position will also provide meaningful contributions to project management, filings with the Public Service Commission, and tracking industry and regulatory issues related to the Act.
