About The Position
Position involves providing expert accounting services to support development and execution of regulatory strategy across the AEP system. Includes participating in regulatory accounting efforts to support operating company regulatory activities. Position requires interaction and communication with various parties to regulatory proceedings as well as preparation and/or review of data, schedules, reports and testimony to support regulatory activities. At conclusion of regulatory proceedings, position requires preparation of accounting instructions to other accounting departments. On an ongoing basis, position involves keeping accounting management informed regarding regulatory activities and researching related regulatory accounting, including accounting for similar transactions being pursued by other companies or past AEP transactions. On a periodic basis, position may include participating in special regulatory-related projects including multi-company topics and transactions.
