About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Regulators Casing Operator - 2nd Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facility! The core hours are Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $19.75 per hour, plus a $1.35 shift premium. The Regulators Casing Operator is responsible for performing the final assembly operations of electricity regulators according to prescribed standard methods and procedures. In this function, you will: • Perform tasks across various work centers, including covers, pumps, basic assembly, single-pot assembly, two-pot assembly, all tap changer. • Build the product per work instructions and quality standards that are required in the assembly with use of calibrated tooling (pneumatic tools, power tools, hand tools, etc.). • Build and fulfill requirements needed; work closely with engineering, quality, and shipping department to ensure product is completed and shipped on time. • Conduct ratio testing on the unit and troubleshoot any potential problems found in order to complete ratio test. • Move units by use of overhead cranes and power industrial vehicles. • Repair units and components that have failed test, are defective or require other needed changes. • Participate in teardown, repair and modification of customer-supplied equipment as directed by engineering or quality departments. • Troubleshoot as needed throughout the process. • Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization. • Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals. • Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures. • Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Nacogdoches, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Ability to complete onsite training and obtain a valid Eaton forklift operator certification.
  • Ability to interpret document specifications and perform mathematical functions as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to work efficiently in hot environments and tolerate loud noises.
  • Must adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined below: Hands/Arm: Gloves Over the Elbow sleeves Eye/Face: Safety Glasses Ear: Ear Plugs Foot: Steel Toe Metatarsal Guards
