The core hours are Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. What you’ll do: The Regs Machine Operator sets up, adjusts and operates various welding machines, presses, shears, brakes, flanges and expanders. In this function, you will: • Perform tasks across various work centers, including tank expanding, seam welding, layout, horn presses, hanging, cover punching, paint booth operations, corrugate, laser, press brake, hanging, flanking, kitting, and tank unhang procedures. • Utilize the Bill of Materials to gather parts based on the work order for welders and other work stations. • Monitor and maintain the automatic paint booth, manually apply paint to hard-to-reach parts, add paint as needed, conduct titration tests for chemical balance, and verify the paint cure and dry-off oven temperatures. • Conduct routine machine maintenance, follow specified lists (oven pick list, PQP, VOP, IDP, verbal instructions), operate welding equipment (MIG wire feed), and use both manual and powered hand tools, as well as simple measuring devices. • Set up and adjust press brake, enter part numbers, form and check parts, palletize with another operator, and develop new part programs. • Load materials, perform laser cutting per specifications, validate material thickness, unload and sort parts, and check quality. • Coordinate daily production releases, unload and load coil steel, set up and adjust machines, operate and troubleshoot equipment, oversee welding units, check and store finished pieces, perform repairs, manage inventory, and dispose of scrap steel. • Position, hang, and remove tanks and associated parts from a powered overhead conveyor line. • Manually handle medium-heavy weight materials, and operate hoists and other material handling equipment (including powered industrial trucks). • Receive training in safe chemical handling, proper disposal of waste materials, and adherence to safety, quality, and operating instructions. • Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. • Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization. • Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals. • Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures. • Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
