About The Position

Stryten uses a proven plastic injection molding methodology to produce critical automotive, motive, and essential power battery components. Our light industrial facility in West Lampeter Township has 200 employees committed to living our values of Care, Challenge, Commit, Change, and Create. Perform duties related to collecting and grinding scrap components and cold runners. Operate/relieve presses based on facility needs and/or available work. This is a 1st shift opening - Monday - Friday; 7am - 3pm

Requirements

Good hand eye coordination
Ability to stand continuously
Operate a forklift and pallet jack
Achieve forklift certification
Ability to use mechanical equipment to remove lead and contaminants from plastic
Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds
Ability to lift above shoulder height
Ability to bend to the floor
Ability to push and pull materials
Ability to reach, grasp, and twist for materials
Safety shoes required
High School diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

Process scrap components and feed recyclable plastic to grinding equipment
Ensure that metal and other non-plastic materials are not introduced to the grinding equipment
Ensure the grinding equipment is fed scrap plastic at the appropriate rate
Empty punched bushings into lead barrels, and place lead barrels in designated area
Move skids of scrap material with a forklift or pallet jack
Gather scrap from the plant floor throughout the shift
Sort lead from presses
Fill out necessary paperwork and check off sheets
Perform preventive maintenance on grinding and punching equipment
Empty the cardboard baler as needed
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment
Provide regular feedback to the Supervisor relating to issues or potential improvements with job responsibilities
Cover other shifts for vacation
Relieve as needed
Miscellaneous duties as assigned
