About The Position

The Registration Scheduler at HonorHealth plays a crucial role in providing a multi-dimensional care experience for patients by acting as the first point of contact. This position involves a variety of clerical and administrative duties, including patient registration, scheduling, and communication with healthcare providers, ensuring efficient patient workflow and support within the healthcare system.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of employment.
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card required or must apply within seven working days after employment.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the first point of contact for all customers.
  • Organizes and facilitates clerical administrative duties of the department.
  • Performs cross-functional clerical and patient support duties including telephone, registration, scheduling, and data entry.
  • Responsible for patient chart maintenance and communication with physicians' offices as needed.
  • Contacts, greets, and communicates with customers.
  • Answers telephone calls and retrieves/responds to voice mail messages.
  • Directs information to the appropriate individual.
  • Orients patients to the department with directions and instructions.
  • Receives and transfers incoming calls, generates reports, and retrieves images from the PACS system.
  • Assists in maintaining efficient patient workflow and transports patients when necessary.
  • Performs scheduling for procedures, tracks no-shows, and communicates with physicians.
  • Performs registration duties including providing initial registration information and obtaining necessary authorizations.
  • Completes daily data entry and scanning of patient registration information.
  • Collects co-pays and payments required for procedures and submits daily deposits.
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies/forms and places orders as required.
