About The Position

Responsible for obtaining and securing quality demographic, insurance, and financial information necessary from the patient for outpatient services assuring proper coding and signatures. Collects patient co-pays, prepares patient charts and disseminates information to the appropriate areas. Produces daily logs for statistics and schedule sheets for patient routing. Performs additional clerk/receptionist duties as necessary. Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent.
  • One (1) year office experience or twelve (12) months secondary education which includes clerical training.
  • Utilizes a variety of standard office equipment and supplies.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, mathematical calculations and Medicare/Medicaid regulations is helpful.
