The Registration Representative (PRN) position at Clarendon involves maintaining a professional image and exhibiting excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. This role requires a high level of public contact and excellent interpersonal skills. The representative will interview patients or responsible parties to obtain personal, demographic, insurance, and medical information prior to services, confirm and manage patient identity, and understand compliance requirements to assist with the completion of required forms. Additionally, the representative will correctly assign insurance coverages based on eligibility responses, explain plan benefits, authorization status, and medical necessity. The role also includes creating a transparent financial experience, generating estimates preservice, explaining patient liability, and collecting prepayments and outstanding balances. The representative will offer information on payment plans and Compassionate Care when appropriate, transcribe and validate orders, schedule walk-in appointments, advocate for patient engagement, monitor the environment, and attend to patients, families, and visitors' needs to create a positive registration experience.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology/prior experience with healthcare.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred from an accredited school.
