Registration Coordinator
About The Position
32 hour day shift position - 4 week rotating schedule - alternating weekdays 8am-430pm or 830am-5pm with one weekend a month Saturday & Sunday 7am-330pm, including alternating holidays. Responsible for registering patients and updating information in the patient’s electronic medical record. Perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure that patient demographic, financial and mandated information is accurate based on available information, while providing patients and/or family members with required regulatory informational documents regarding their visit or admission.

- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent guest relations and telephone demeanor
- Ability to professional handle all interactions within a fast paced, hectic and emotionally charged clinical environment.
- Ability to think critically in making decisions to ensure urgent or emergent situations are handled correctly within hospital policies and procedures.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.
- Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum two years of computer experience
- Minimum one to two years of experience in an acute hospital setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
