General Summary: Welcome and register patients for their appointments while collecting accurate patient demographics and insurance information. Ensures that patients are registered for their appointments in a timely manner. Performs all front desk/receptionist duties to ensure patient satisfaction as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains strict patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Registers patients efficiently, accurately and timely.
  • Pull patient charts as needed.
  • Receives and responds to all questions from the staff.
  • Assists patients with completion of medical information forms.
  • Obtains signatures for consent according to policy.
  • Collects payments.
  • Balance cash drawer daily.
  • Accurately run credit card charges when needed.
  • Verify insurance information.
  • Completes return to work/school slips in coordination with nurse.
  • Performs data entry.
  • Assists patients with Rx pick up.
  • Assists in maintaining office equipment.
  • Assists other team members as needed.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills
  • Maintains knowledge of clerical duties, medical policies and procedures.
  • Receives and directs visitors and patients.
  • Attends at least 80% of staff meetings.
  • Covers all clerical areas if needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
